Covid-19 Essential Workers : Registered Nurse Portraits at the HOPE Sculpture
The pandemic has impacted so many of our livelihoods in so many different ways; and while the demand for in-person photoshoots has recently declined, the need for online content is now more important than ever…so how do we navigate this paradox between needing photos and not wanting to have them taken? The same way we navigate anything else: with common sense and adaptation. With proper social distancing (a good zoom lens helps with this!) and the wearing of masks, there is no reason why photoshoots can’t still continue to happen while also keeping everyone safe at the same time.
Daijah’s hospital was running a social media campaign celebrating their front-line workers, and hired me to capture her in front of the HOPE sculpture at 7th Ave and 52nd St.
