Surprise Brooklyn Bridge Proposal & Autumn Couples Portraits

On this surprise proposal shoot in Brooklyn Bridge Park, the groom-to-be, myself, and his friend meticulously orchestrated exactly how everything would go down prior to the moment itself (which I HIGHLY recommend!) to ensure every detail was perfect when his intended arrived to the adorable “marry me" spot, strategically chosen for its breathtaking views of the city skyline.

But even the best-laid plans require some on-the-spot maneuvering, and this one included having to chase off a boisterous group of unwitting tourists from inadvertently photobombing this once-in-a-lifetime moment, thankfully she was so caught up in the moment she didn’t notice me yelling at and running to disperse them!

Following the heartfelt proposal (that went off without a hitch!), we continued the session with couples' portraits in the nearby areas, capturing their love and unique bond as they embark on this new chapter of their life together.

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D850 using a variety of lenses, and all individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using custom-built presets.
