Team and Headshot Photoshoot for Alcea Staff at the Pod 39 Hotel (Murray Hill)
This photoshoot was a doozy! Scheduled for 1 hour to capture individual portraits and group photos of 3 of the founding members of Alcea Surrogacy, we ran into some timing issues.
Unfortunately, I was given the wrong location information for where the shoot was to take place, and then the assistant who gave me that information ended up getting hit by a car and so was unreachable that day! I had been waiting at the given location for some time before I was able to get in touch with one of the team members that was being photographed (as the coordinator could not be there/able to accept calls for obvious reasons). It turns out that they were at a completely different hotel about 20 minutes away.
As I had a tight schedule that day and could not extend the shoot past it’s appointed end-time, I did my best to get over there as soon as possible but it was a close call! Unfortunately, it was not possible to reschedule this shoot for a better day as 2 of the members had flown in from out-of-state just for it and were leaving the next day! We ended up having only 15 minutes to shoot by the time we were able to meet up, but you know what? We did it.
It was a world-record photoshoot! I was able to capture all 3 ladies AND get some cute group shots as well on the roof of the Pod 39 Hotel in Murray Hill. Whew!

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D850, using a Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens, all individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using custom-built presets.
