Roman Catholic Baby Baptism - Upper East Side
The Sooriyakumaran family recently visited NYC from England to perform and celebrate the Roman Catholic christening of their son at the beautiful Our Lady of Good Counsel church on the Upper East Side. We captured the ceremony itself, posed photos of the family, and some fun candids of baby and cousins playing afterwards. While it went smoothly once it was underway, there was a bit of a scheduling snafu with the priest in that he did not know he had to perform this particular baptism on this day, so there was a considerable amount of hand-wringing as we all waited to see if he could be summoned 😅 Thankfully, it all turned out all right!

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D850 using both a 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens and a 50mm f/1.8 prime lens, and all individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using custom-built presets.
