Testing Out My New 70-300mm Lens: A Trip to the Prospect Park Zoo (Brooklyn, NYC)

I recently purchased a new lens for my camera, and wanted to take it out for a ‘field test’. Since zoos and gardens are one of my favorite things to hobby photograph, I decided to break it in at the Prospect Park Zoo. I gotta say, for the price of this lens…I am impressed with the results! Highly recommend for those who are on a budget and looking for a good ‘starter’ zoom lens.

(Update: I ended up selling this lens about a year later, opting to upgrade to a Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6)

Here are some of my favorite shots from this outing (click to see full, un-cropped images):

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D750, using an AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 zoom lens, and individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom.
