February Food Photoshoots / Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens
February was a fantastic month for food photography, with a diverse range of restaurants. Out of the 15 that I shot, six of them were the highlights of the month: Annam Cafe in Midtown, serving up fast-casual Vietnamese cuisine. Another standout was Pig & Khao, a Southeast Asian gem on the Upper West Side, known for its creative dishes like murtabak and tocino wings.
I also had the pleasure of shooting at the iconic Roberta's Pizza new location at Penn Station, now offering single slices for the first time. Flame Station , a unique Colombian food truck in Queens, brought a fiery passion to the table with its bold flavors. Also featured are Cafe 37 in Midtown, and Chocolate Connections in Kensington. Each restaurant presented its own unique challenges and opportunities, allowing me to experiment with different lighting and composition techniques to bring out the best in their dishes and atmospheres. Overall, February was a month filled with culinary delights and creative photography opportunities.
Here are some of my favorite images from each of these shoots (click/tap to view full size and un-cropped):
