"Taste of Foutta Djallon" Dining Event, Day 1 (Punto Space, Midtown Manhattan)

As a photographer in the most diverse city in the United States, I get to cover an incredible variety of interesting events that I might not otherwise get to experience. This shoot was for a special dinner hosted by Essense 13 who produces a podcast about African cuisine (Item 13), showcasing the food from the Foutta Djallon region in Guinea of West Africa, and a live demonstration and interview with chef Fatmata Binta.

Here are a few of my favorite images from this event (click to view full size and un-cropped):

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D750, using an AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 lens, and individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using my own custom presets.
