Tribeca Sailing's "Tara" Sailboat for GetMyBoat.com, Battery Park City
GetMyBoat is a platform that connects adventure seekers with boat rental experiences worldwide. As the photographer commissioned for this project, I was thrilled to embark on an aquatic adventure in the heart of New York City to capture the sailboat “Tara”, a 1964 Hinckley Custom Pilot 35 sailboat, helmed by Captain Dave, the seasoned skipper from Tribeca Sailing, in all of her glory.
For this 2-hour-long shoot on an overcast day, my journey began with the captain taking Tara out for a preliminary spin around the bay, allowing me to capture some fantastic shots from the shore. After that, we set sail together on a private tour, ready to document the journey from start to finish. We navigated the gentle waters of Battery Park City capturing the cityscape, interiors of the boat, and some of NYC’s most iconic waterway scenery.

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D850 using a 24-85mm zoom lens, and all individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using custom-built presets.
