Real Estate Photoshoot for Long Island City Apartment & Amenities
Real estate is a genre of photography I’d like to be able to do more of, so I’m super excited when I get assigned to shoot some local interiors (and exteriors!). Quality photography in this field is almost never about just taking a single photo of a space, it usually utilizes techniques like exposure bracketing, HDR, and panoramic stitching (depending on the focal length of your lens). At the time I shot this, 24mm was my widest angle lens (I now own a 14mm!), so some panoramic execution was required in addition to the other types of compositing. I shot these for realtor LaQuana McNeil, who specializes in high-end sales, and the building is The Foundry at Hunter’s Point (which also doubles as an event venue!), unit 2N.
This particular project involved an apartment that was already on the market and that already had professional photos taken of the majority of it. My job was to cover some of the things the previous photographer had missed; like the walk-in closet, view from the balcony, rooftop, gym, washer/dryer, building exterior, and other amenities that would help it to sell.

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D750, using a Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom lens, all individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom (using panoramic and HDR stitching).
