Greek Orthodox Baby Baptism in Astoria, Queens
NYC is home to so many people of different backgrounds and faiths that every religious photoshoot is a brand new experience for me, I get to witness things I might not otherwise have access to in my everyday life. This particular baptism was a Greek Orthodox christening, and took place in the beautiful St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Astoria, Queens. This was a bit different from other baptisms I have covered, in that instead of sprinkling water on the baby’s head, the entire baby (head and face included!) is completely submerged into a large font 3 times. Always something new to experience!
