GetYourGuide.com is a platform that offers travelers unique and exciting experiences around the world. This particular shoot focused on the enchanting world of NYC Fancy Rides, a company that provides horse-drawn carriage tours through Central Park. These tours offer visitors a delightful and leisurely way to explore one of New York City's most iconic landmarks.
As I arrived at Central Park, I was introduced to our carriage driver, Atakan. He is not just a driver but a passionate enthusiast of horses and the park itself. Atakan's commitment to his craft was evident as he took me on a journey through Central Park, providing insights and alternative routes to capture the essence of his business. He shared fascinating details about his operation, including the fact that he maintains two farms upstate where he stables his horses. Every day, he rotates his equine partners, ensuring they remain in the best possible condition for their work in the park.
During the shoot, Atakan's stories brought an added layer of depth to our experience, and I couldn't help but admire the harmony between his horses, the park's natural beauty, and the nostalgic charm of the carriages. This was more than just a photoshoot; it was a journey through history and a celebration of a unique New York City tradition.
