Couples Travel Shoot + Surprise Proposal at the Brooklyn Bridge

Bryan and his lovely girlfriend were here in NYC on a romantic trip together from Texas, one that will remembered for a lifetime, in fact! On their last day in the city, we orchestrated a memorable moment in Brooklyn Bridge Park: while his girlfriend, unsuspecting of the imminent proposal, admired the skyline views under the guise of posing for a phone picture by Bryan, he dropped to one knee, ring in hand, while she was turned around. When she finally realized what was happening, she gave an enthusiastic “Yes!”, and I discreetly captured the heartfelt moment from a pre-planned vantage point.

Following the surprise proposal, we explored the nearby areas for an impromptu couples shoot, capturing the newly engaged couple against the backdrops of local gardens, sidewalk hotdog carts, and their own joy.

All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D850 using a variety of lenses, and all individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using custom-built presets.
