Armenian Orthodox Baptism at St. Illuminator's Church in NYC
NYC is home to so many people of different backgrounds and faiths that every religious photoshoot is a brand new experience for me, I get to witness things I might not otherwise have access to in my everyday life. This particular baptism was an Armenian Orthodox christening, and took place in the beautiful St. Illuminator’s church. What made this one different from other baptisms I have covered is that instead of sprinkling water on the baby’s head, most of her body is submerged in a large font.
Here are some of my favorite images from this shoot (click to see un-cropped):
All images in this blog post were shot on a Nikon D750, using an AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 G series lens, and individually post-processed in Adobe Lightroom using my own custom presets.
